Mounting - Ultra Suction - Denture System

Dentures Picture Pour a hard stone model
Dentures Picture Design precisely the location of the profiled bar (spacer).
It must stop 1 cm short of the end of the denture.
Dentures Picture Stabilise the profiled bar on the model using 2-3 small drops of Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue® type).
Proceed with teeth set up for try- in.
Note: The bar should remain on the model during Acrylic processing.
Dentures Picture After polymerisation, remove the profiled bar.
Particular attention should be given to prevent damage to the walls of the suction chamber.
Dig prudently; only a fine filing of the edges is permitted.
Note: The same process applies when used in conjuction with soft liners.
Dentures Picture At the chosen lingual site, prepare two cavities in which the valves will be lodged. (between the two premolars or between canine and premolar or as case requires otherwise).
Dentures Picture The graded end of the key may be used for guidance; ie: depth and diameter.

Dentures Picture A processing cap is placed in each valve to protect the core from being filled with acrylic.
Fix carefully with self -curing acrylic.
After polishing the processing cap is removed.
Dentures Picture Using a fissure No 010,Ø1mm create a communication channel between the valve and the high point of the suction chamber.
Dentures Picture Drill on an angle, guided by the transparency of the acrylic.

IMPORTANT

Although denture valves work on a simple mechanical principle, hygiene is the key to their success. Patients should run water through the visible orifices in the suction chamber and remove any food debris on a daily basis. It is strongly recommended to entrust patients who have manual dexterity with the service key, together with cleaning instructions.

Recall Patients every six months. Open the valve covers above a receptacle of water to avoid losing the components. Remove the diaphragm; clean the valve body and the air passages. Check and remove any tartar and calculus deposits in the suction chamber and around the orifices. Replace the diaphragm with a new one if necessary and close the cover, using the key provided.
